All children have the right to attend and participate in a program enriched with quality experiences that will support and help promote the child as a whole, unique individual. Within our program at Treehouse, we respect and encourage the participation of all children in daily activities while promoting opportunities for social interaction and play with their peers in a caring, nurturing environment. |

Parents and
family: We recognize the whole family as an integral and knowledgeable figure in the child's life and respect the family as an equal partner in the education of their child. At Treehouse Early Learning Centre we work together with families in a supportive, open environment, communicating with the parents on a daily basis the progresses of each child. Our open door policy welcomes discussion for parental and family concerns or suggestions. Program: Children have the right to consistent and daily opportunities for the promotion of socialization and play through stimulating and tactile hands on experience appropriate to each child's individual needs and abilities. Treehouse Early Learning Centre offers these experiences through a variety of educational materials and activities implemented on a daily basis. We recognize each child's individuality and need for play and socialization in an environment which respects and supports the inclusion of all. Child and Family Support Plan: Every child who requires extra support has the right to a goal planning process in order to provide realistic expectations in all facets of each child's individual rate of development. At Treehouse Early Learning Centre we work together with family and therapists of the child to develop a plan to be used by staff that will focus on the strengths of the individual. We are here to serve each child through individualized programs within an environment which adapts and molds itself to each child's needs and growth. Parent/Teacher Meetings: Every typically developing child's family is presented with the opportunity twice yearly to participate in an informal meeting with the Supervisor and a teacher. At this time, we encourage the family to bring any questions or concerns regarding their child or the program. The teachers in turn share information regarding the child in terms of their participation in the program and their overall development. We are open to meetings beyond these specific times if necessary and we endeavour to communicate with families on a daily basis.
