Richmond Society for Community LivingRespite Care Provider
Respite Care Providers give families a break by spending a few hours or an over-night period with the family member with extra support needs. They provide the child/teen/adult with developmental disabilities with recreational opportunities, and a chance to expand his/her social network, develop skills and build self-esteem.
RSCL recruits, screens and approves respite providers to work as contractors. Families choose their caregivers from this pool and train them with regards to the specific abilities of their family member. RSCL supports and monitors respite providers to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all.
