Training Event Details

Event Name: Core Training Day 2 – The Practitioner In Context

 

Event details: Core Day 2 is a seven and a half-hour, values-based course specifically designed for senior staff at the Richmond Society for Community Living. However, it is mandatory training for all RSCL staff and as a result, all new staff will eventually be expected to take this class. The course is intended to assist participants in:

-          Exploring self-awareness re: one’s personal style, values, effects on others, skills and leadership qualities.

-          Understanding basic interpersonal and group communication skills.

-          Gaining insight and understanding of effective interpersonal working relationships.

-          Gaining insight and understanding of professional and personal accountability.

-          Gaining insight and understanding of critical thinking and reflection, and of theoretical reasoning.

 

Who can/should attend the event: Emphasis is on Senior Staff who have attended Core Day 1.  Families and Caregivers interested in the topic are welcome to attend.

 

Registration information: Staff should complete a Request to Attend Workshop form, have it signed by their supervisor and submit it to Jan at Head Office. Families and Caregivers need simply phone Jan @ 604-279-7040.

 

Pre-requisites for attending the event: In most cases, Core Day 1 is a required pre-requisite.
