Connecting the Dots

Connecting The Dots is a free annual event for school staff, community professionals, and service volunteers. This event will also be open to parents and youth!
This year’s theme is Adolescent Health and our keynote presentation will highlight the most recent results of the BC Adolescent Health Survey of Richmond youth. Our discussion will include a current snapshot of adolescent health in Richmond, with a focus on online safety and technology addiction, mental health and substance use, physical activity, social connectedness, and the unique challenge of addressing cultural diversity in Richmond.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit information booths to learn more about free community services that support youth and family wellness.
Booths featured include: Richmond Mental Health & Addictions, Richmond Addiction Services Society, Richmond School District, City of Richmond, Chimo Community Services, Richmond Society for Community Living, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, ShapeDown BC, Richmond Public Health, Richmond Food Bank, Richmond Public Library, Touchstone Family Association, Canadian Mental Health Association, FORCE Society, BC Schizophrenia Society, Supporting Families, Family Services of Greater Vancouver, and McCreary Centre Society.
