Do you want to make a difference in someone’s life?
Do you want to earn additional income by sharing your home with a person with a disability?
Home Share is a program that matches people with developmental disabilities with individuals and families who are interested in providing support in their home; or in some cases in a home already owned by the individual.
Appropriate candidates are those who are willing to share not only their homes, but also their life experiences with someone who need additional support. These supports may include companionship, daily living tasks, accessing community activities and resources, and personal care.
The success of the Home Share program is based on the development of a close relationship between the individual and the home share provider, with on-going support offered by RSCL. Because the needs of the individuals we support are diverse, an application package and home study are required in order ensure an appropriate match between the individual and the family/caregiver.
